Situated just a few minutes from the gates of the world's most famous wildlife sanctuary, the Kurger National Park - Villa Carmela is part of a private game reserve adjacent to the Sabie Sand river, bordering the Kruger National Park.

Kruger National Park

Kruger National Park stretches over 350 miles from north to south, has abundance of wildlife. Kruger National Park is justly rated as one of the world's finest game reserves and is home to more species of wildlife than any other game sanctuary on the continent, and is one of Africa's few remaining havens for big cats. The wild animals one can see here are the lions that are found here in abundance, and large populations of leopard and cheetah, roam freely here, also a number of elephant, zebra, rhino, giraffe, hippopotamus, impala, and kudu. Kruger also has a good variety of birds for birdwatchers.
